QD: News Every Day--Reimbursement, implementing health reform weigh heavily on internal medicine

Reimbursement and health care reform weigh far more heavily on doctor's minds than day-to-day concerns, an ACP Internist poll revealed.

Nearly three-quarters of survey respondents thought that reimbursement concerns and implementing health care reform would be the biggest challenges in 2013, with the voting nearly tied between the two issues, at 35% and 39% respectively.

The two issues far outstripped voters who thought practice management issues, improving medical education or developing new treatments for diseases are the biggest issues for the new year.
